This room is the initial intake room for all prisoners. This is where prisoners are processed for housing or bail.

All prisoners are allowed one hour of recreation a day.

This housing unit is often refered to as "RHU" (Restricted Housing Unit) or "SHU" (Special Housing Unit). This is the jail within the jail. Inmates assigned to this unit are often disciplinary problems or high risk. Inmates that are assigned to this unit are locked in their cells 23 hours a day. The inmate is allowed one hour of recreation a day. Restraints must be worn by all inmates that attend recreation.
